What a sentence means?

Let’s commence with sentences.

Do you ever wonder what a sentence means? Well, the answer is simple, a sentence is a group of words. When we talk about words, they are mainly formed with bunch of alphabets. A collection of words makes a phrase. The group of phrases makes a complete sentence.

Alphabets—-> Words—-> Phrases —->Sentences—-> Speech

There are majorly four types of sentences:
1. Those sentences which indicate a command or requests are known as the Imperative sentences.
ex.
• This is a library, please be quiet.
• Go grab the napkin for me.
2. The sentences which are in questionary forms are known as the Interrogative sentences.
ex.
• When will you come home?
• How is she doing?
3. The sentences which included an exclamatory mark (!) which expresses feelings are called as Exclamatory sentences.
ex.

• How come you missed it!
• What a shocking surprise!
4. A sentence that depicts a statement or assertion is commonly known as a Declarative or Assertive sentences.
ex.

• The river was cold as ice when we reached there for boating.
• Surat is located in Gujarat, India.
